Here’s the general schedule:
Registration begins at 11:00 am on Thursday March 8.
Thursday 1:00 pm. – 3:00 pm Pre-fête workshops
- “Dulcimer/All Instrument Orchestra” for Intermediates – Steve Seifert
- “Let’s Play” – Adv Beg/Novice Workshop – Margaret Wright
- “Keyboard Backup” – Annette Lindsey
- “Cook like a Cajun” – Cajun Chef
Thursday 3:15 pm Dulcimer Orchestra performs on stage
Thursday at approximately 4:15 pm Featured Mountain Dulcimer Instructors Perform and show us their talent in mini-concert
Thursday at 6:00 pm Catered supper for those who have pre-ordered Red Beans, Sausage and Rice Meal, Dessert is Birthday Cake and Ice Cream
Thursday at 7:00 pm. Lisa Oivanki has arranged 3 songs for Lagniappe members to play to open the concert. We will have a pageant and crown our new fête king and queen. Then the Dulcimer Contest winner will play one or two songs. We will continue with a concert of three of our featured performers.
Friday at 7:00 am. Lagniappe members treat earlier risers to complimentary breakfast and coffee.
Friday at 8:30 am. Workshops, Jam sessions, Vendors begin and continue all day. Raffle sales continue all day.
Friday at 11:30 am. Lunch including catered lunch for those who have pre-ordered meals.
Friday at 12:30 pm Afternoon workshops, jam sessions, vendors.
Friday at 4:30 pm. Traditional Appalachian Square Dance lead by caller Steve Bing and David and Annette Lindsey’s band
Friday at 6:00 pm. Catered supper for pre-ordered meals.
Friday at 7:00 pm. Concert featuring four of our featured performers.
Friday after concert: Jamming until 10:00 pm.
Saturday schedule is the same as Fridays except:
4:30 pm. Mini-Concert with Sacred Harp Singers, Mini-Concert with ancillary performers and Open Stage.
7:00 pm Concert features three of our featured performers and our Raffle drawing.
Sunday at 7:00 am. Lagniappe members treat earlier risers to complimentary breakfast and coffee.
Sunday at 9:00 am. Fēte concludes with gospel sing and morning worship.
